Catherine Grant
Teaching Assistant
Catherine began her career in education as a lunchtime supervisor, where her dedication quickly led to new opportunities. She was soon asked to cover a teaching assistant’s sick leave, which resulted in a permanent role. In this position, Catherine worked closely with students, including providing one-on-one support to a child who did not speak English, further developing her skills and passion for helping children.
Four years ago, she joined St Peter’s, where she has focused on supporting and nurturing the children, helping them grow both academically and personally. During this time, she worked towards and successfully earned her Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, further enhancing her ability to support students in their learning and development.
Outside of work, she enjoys travelling with her family, from exploring America to visiting the English seaside. She loves taking long countryside walks with her dog and she is an avid reader of crime fiction.
