Jamie Ray

Sports Teacher

Jamie is a dedicated educator with over a decade of experience in the field. A passion that sparked as a 17 year old on work experience at Catmose College. Armed with a degree from the Open University and valuable coaching experience at Oakham Rugby Club and teaching experience at Catmose College, he furthered his expertise by earning a PGCE in Sport Science from Loughborough University.

A placement t Stamford School during his PGCE solidified his passion for independent education. Since qualifying, Jamie has worked at Oakham School and is currently leading the PE and Games at St Peter's.

Beyond his academic pursuits, Jamie is a proud husband and father. He loves the time exploring new experiences with his son as he discovers and develops. Jamie is also a fervent Rugby coach. Having previously worked in various roles for the U18's Boys Leicestershire squads from Backs Coach to Head Coach, he now dedicates his time to coaching U18s at Leicester Forest RFC and serves as the Lead Coach for the U15's Junior Academy at Leicester Tigers.

Driven by the belief that every child has a unique athletic potential, Jamie is committed to helping students discover their favourite sport and nurture their athletic abilities.
