Siobhaun McCahill

Year 5 Teacher

Siobhaun, a seasoned educator with three decades of expertise, is passionate about instilling a profound love of learning in children. This entails catering to their various learning styles and utilising modern methods and technology to create an engaging and successful educational environment. During the COVID-19 lockdowns, Siobhaun converted her classroom to an online setting, providing daily live lessons from home and guaranteeing that each child's education was uninterrupted.

Throughout her career, she has taken on various leadership roles, including Sports Champion and Science Champion. As Sports Champion, she organised annual Sports Days and trained a successful netball team. As Science Champion, she endeavoured to make learning fun through practical experiments and investigations. However, her true passion lies in teaching RE and as the RE Champion at St. Peter's, Siobhaun celebrates the rich tapestry of faiths and cultures that make up the school community. She is dedicated to ensuring that every child feels valued and respected, promoting an environment of inclusivity and mutual respect.

Beyond the classroom, Siobhaun's adventurous spirit shines through. Having been an active member of the canoeing society during her university years, she eagerly participates in the school's residential trips to Govilon, sharing her love for the great outdoors with her students. Whilst in her spare time she enjoys reading, walking and spending time with her family and friends.
