St Peter's School Prospectus

1893 The main building, Sunnylands, was built to be the family home of the philanthropic Timpson family, designed by local architect JA Gotch. 1946 The School was founded as a co-educational independent preparatory school with Miss Joyce Rutherford as its first Headmistress. Founding Governors were eminent local businessmen including Alan Timpson, son of William Timpson the famous shoemaker and Kettering businessman. Descendents of the founding Governors sit on the Board today. 1949 The Nursery building, formally the infant block, was added in 1949. Rebranded as Sunnylands Nursery in 2013, pre school children have attended here since 1968. School entrance School Office 2019 The Cedar Hub was added providing a multi-functional state-of-the-art teaching space. Designed by local company Scotts of Thrapston (alumni:1955) it is an eco- friendly open plan teaching space housing Art, Design and Science and incorporating our wrap around care provision.
